The neighborhood: Porta Romana, a lively and convenient area to experience Milan
The apartment is located in Via Muratori, in the heart of Porta Romana, one of the most pleasant and practical areas of Milan for those coming to the city for study, work, or a temporary stay. It is a central neighborhood that remains very livable, with a strong local identity: historic buildings, restaurants, cafés, small shops, supermarkets, gyms, everyday services, and places to go out without having to cross the entire city.
Within walking distance, you can reach Piazza Medaglie d’Oro, Corso Lodi, Porta Romana M3, and the Scalo Romana area, currently one of Milan’s most interesting districts for urban development, universities, offices, and new cultural spaces. The proximity to the yellow metro line makes getting around very easy: in just a few stops, you can reach Duomo, Missori, Crocetta, Repubblica, and Central Station, while trams and buses offer quick connections to Bocconi, the Navigli area, Città Studi, and the historic center.
The location is particularly suitable for students and young professionals: Bocconi University is easy to reach even by bike, NABA and the Navigli area are conveniently connected, while Istituto Marangoni, Università Cattolica, the historic center, and Milan’s main business districts can be reached without difficulty. For those who work or often move around the city for appointments, Porta Romana is also a strategic base: close to the center, well served by public transport, and convenient for reaching areas such as Fondazione Prada, Porta Venezia, San Babila, Duomo, the Courthouse, Policlinico, Crocetta, and Central Station.
The area also offers many useful everyday reference points: restaurants and cocktail bars in Porta Romana and Corso Lodi, supermarkets and local shops, pharmacies, coworking spaces, gyms, and green areas such as the Giardini della Guastalla and the areas around Fondazione Prada. It is an ideal choice for those looking for an authentic, well-connected, and dynamic Milanese neighborhood, without giving up the convenience of having everything within easy reach.
